Meet the team

With deep knowledge of the IT security landscape (including a PhD), Stefan’s experience of data centres and backend infrastructures at global companies such as Amaya Inc (gaming), Sun Microsystems, Oracle, and AWS set him on the path to co-founding Dectar. He also founded Hacklab Italy and co-founded BackBox.org (today the second largest pen-testing Linux distribution in the world) and Muscope. An experienced team builder, Stefan has a talent for recruiting and training.

Carlo is a highly experienced senior manager with deep knowledge of international business operations and commercial strategies. Spanning four decades, his career has sent him across Europe, the Americas, and Asia, working at companies in the entertainment, media, and advertising industries. It should come as no surprise that Carlo’s professional network is as rich and extensive as his track record.

Francesco is a multilingual professional with over a decade of experience in International Recruitment (IT and Engineering), Sales, and Customer Service. Francesco is passionate about building trusted relations with Clients, Candidates, and teams across the globe and delivers excellent services.

Having honed his accounting skills at a Big Four firm (PwC), Francesco has enjoyed a broad and varied career in finance, working in senior roles at companies such as Corcym (healthcare), Primo Group (retail and manufacturing), FMC Corporation (food), Eli Lilly and Company (pharmaceutical), and BGR Tax and Legal. He has been a member of the Ordine dei Dottori Commercialisti (Turin) and the Revisori dei Conti at Italy’s Ministry of Economy and Finance.

Daniela has been in charge of our communications since day one. With almost 15 years of experience in PR & Communication, Daniela has been in charge of communications, events and external relations of Dectar from the beginning. In her career, she has worked for brands in the tourism sector such as eDreams and Vueling, and others active in the field of web reputation, data analysis, and the right to be forgotten. Passionate about teaching and sharing knowledge, for some years she has been a Contract Professor at the University of Milan-Bicocca. During her free time, Daniela enjoys doing yoga, walking with her dog, and studying to become a Counselor.

Claudio brings over 40 years of experience in the IT industry to his role as Country Manager for Italy. Before joining the team, he spent two decades as Head of Information Technology at Juventus Football Club, where he designed and implemented large-scale IT projects. Claudio was a key member of the team that delivered the Allianz Stadium, Juventus Headquarters, Juventus Training Center, J|Medical, and J|Hotel.

Work and Organizational Psychologist, Silvia joined our team as HR Coordinator. She worked as a career coach and HR Recruiter, specializing in job orientation interviews, skill assessment, and individual coaching. Silvia strongly believes in professional exchange, collaboration among teams, and the strategic importance of enhancing human resources in achieving the company’s mission.

Domenico is a senior full-stack software developer with over 15 years of experience working on large complex projects in a number of Italian government departments. Domenico has vast IT security expertise and has worked in Dectar since our foundation. Domenico’s technical rigour and expertise have been fundamental in shaping Dectar’s mission and philosophy.

With over a decade of experience in Computer Engineering, Rossella brings a dynamic blend of technical expertise and leadership skills. Her career began as a developer, specializing in mobile platforms before expanding to full-stack development. This technical foundation set the stage for her transition into leadership roles. In the past three years, Rossella has embraced managerial responsibilities as a Scrum Master and PMO, driving organizational growth through structured processes and methodologies that enhance efficiency and foster innovation. She is passionate about continuous learning and staying at the forefront of emerging technologies, often automating processes to focus on strategic initiatives. Rossella is determined, positive, and committed to excellence, fostering collaborative and supportive team environments. She looks forward to contributing to Dectar’s continued success with her skills and experiences.

Anton has an entrepreneurial and cultural vision that leverages digital potential whilst bridging traditional industries with our evolving digital economy. A visionary advocate of blockchain technology and digital change, Anton develops commercially credible solutions that consistently achieve business growth and ROI. Anton specializes in Blockchain Technology, Strategic Defence, Information Security, Threat Intelligence, Information Security, and Artificial Intelligence solutions. He has worked closely with global financial institutions, with experience advising at both national and international government levels.

With a robust career that blends design and ergonomics, evolving from analog foundations to cutting-edge digital applications, Alessandro has become an expert in user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design. Supported by a strong educational background in both fields, Alessandro works on the digital transition of the Italian public administration, using the Design Italia kit to create user-friendly, accessible websites. Additionally, he has collaborated with journalists through the Journalism Grant to create compelling web documentaries, specializing in storytelling and data visualization—especially on maps—which bridge the gap between information and engagement. Now, he is channeling his extensive experience into shaping innovative solutions as a product designer, where his deep understanding of user needs and technical prowess come together to craft impactful, user-centric products.

Daniele is a senior software developer and software designer with 20 years experience working with different languages and technologies on backend, frontend, desktop and mobile applications. His brain is always 100% running till the best solution for a trouble is not found and he thinks that leadership should not to be achieved by words but beign an example for everybody. He is an enthusiast of free software movement and this leads him to follow with great interest the white hat hacker culture and being always attentive to every cybersecurity news and letting him dig deeply in every OS and network protocol. He is working in dectar since 2019 and his passion for dectar projects is still growing.

Tech enthusiast and lover of code, Gianmarco is happy to get his hands dirty (on the keyboard). With a hobby of learning new programming languages and frameworks, Gianmarco is quick to learn new technologies.

A seasoned senior software developer with extensive experience in the development and auditing of cryptographic software. His passion for technology began at the age of 14 when he created a peer-to-peer client using C++. He specializes in distributed architectures, cryptography, and the implementation of advanced statistical and mathematical algorithms. His expertise in cybersecurity has led to significant analyses and collaborations with various government entities. He has been featured in national and international media and press, and his open-source works have been featured in academic journals.

Luca has loved video games since he was young. Video games brought him to study and learn IT. He enjoys working with people, and in his current role, he supported more than 300 users for "Il Messaggero" (one of the most famous newspapers in Italy). He started his career as a freelancer and then moved from an on-site engineer to a helpdesk.

Mario is a seasoned IT Consultant with extensive experience working on large-scale projects. His expertise spans GNU/Linux and Unix administration, application support, and system design. A quick learner and adaptable professional, Mario is passionate about free software and embraces new technologies. His motto, 'Envy belongs to losers,' reflects his positive and driven approach to work.

Zoran Micevski is a solution-oriented QA Engineer with extensive experience in delivering high-quality software solutions. He specializes in automation tools, with a strong focus on frontend, API, and performance testing. Known for his adaptability and problem-solving mindset, Zoran approaches every new technological challenge with curiosity and precision, consistently striving to achieve optimal results. His expertise also extends to mobile application testing and the seamless integration of automated testing processes, ensuring comprehensive coverage and efficient software releases.
